Dr William Ramsay is Daphne Technology's Chief Technology Officer (CTO). He is responsible for all of Daphne's research and technology development and oversees Daphne's growing patent portfolio. Thanks to his expertise and strong knowledge, he has also enabled the company to benefit from a grant of €2.5 million from EU Horizon 2020.
William has extensive Research & Development experience and completed his PhD in Supramolecular Chemistry from the University of Cambridge, his thesis in "Self-Assembly of Heterometallic Structures", and Postdoctoral research in "Single-Molecule Analysis of Chemical Reactions" at the University of Oxford in the UK.
Before he started working at Daphne Technology in 2019, William worked as a Senior Research Scientist for a start-up company in California. William has co-authored >10 manuscripts in top scientific journals (including Angewandte Chemie, JACS and Nature Chemistry publications) and holds several patents.
