SlipPure™ Marine

Advanced methane abatement for dual-fuel engines in maritime industries.

SlipPure™ Marine is designed to specifically abate methane slip from the exhaust of dual-fuel auxiliary marine engines. It provides shipowners and charterers with a reliable solution to reduce methane emissions, improve their environmental profile, and meet stringent regulations such as EU MRV, FuelEU Maritime, and EU ETS obligations. By addressing methane slip, SlipPure™ Marine minimises environmental impact and helps operators meet compliance goals.

Methane Slip Abatement

Effectively reduces methane emissions from auxiliary four-stroke dual-fuel engines.

Seamless Integration

Designed for compatibility with existing marine engine systems.

Regulatory Compliance

Built to meet both current and future maritime emissions standards, ensuring long-term adherence to regulations.

Operational Sustainability

Minimises emissions to support long-term environmental goals.

Key Benefits

Ensures compliance to meet methane regulations and support environmental goals.

Regulatory Compliance

SlipPure™ Marine ensures compliance with international regulations such as EU MRV and IMO DCS, reducing the risk of penalties.

Flexible Operations

The plasma-catalytic system offers a flexible solution for methane emissions from auxiliary four-stroke dual-fuel engines. Whether for a single engine or all auxiliary systems, the SlipPure™ solution helps optimise emissions management to meet operational needs.

Sustainability Impact

Methane is one of the most potent greenhouse gases. Reducing methane emissions is crucial to mitigate climate change, and SlipPure™ helps by cutting methane emissions. This directly supports global initiatives to reduce emissions and limit global temperature rise.

How It Works

SlipPure™ uses a proprietary plasma-catalytic process to convert methane (CH4) into carbon dioxide (CO2) and water (H2O), effectively removing harmful gases from the exhaust. The system is installed on the exhaust outlet of a natural gas engine and operates on electricity.

Efficient Catalytic Process: By integrating non-thermal plasma (NTP) and our patented proprietary methane oxidation catalyst (MOC), SlipPure™ lowers the activation energy required for methane conversion, making it ideal for engines with exhaust at lower temperatures. This high abatement efficiency is achieved without affecting engine performance.

Industry Applications

SlipPure™ provides a versatile solution for industries using natural gas-powered engines.

LNG powered vessel

LNG-Powered Dual-Fuel Engines

Shipowners operating LNG-powered dual-fuel engines can integrate SlipPure™ Marine into their exhaust systems. This solution is ideal for LNG carriers, oil tankers, container ships, ferries, cruise ships, and other vessels using methane-rich fuels, ensuring compliance with emissions regulations and reducing penalties from schemes like EU ETS.

FPSO and FSRU Offshore Ships

Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) and Floating Storage Regasification Units (FSRU) represent a distinct offshore category where SlipPure™ Marine can be installed. By abating methane emissions on these ships, operators can meet sustainability goals and ensure compliance with emissions regulations.

Offshore Platforms

Gas-powered engines operating on offshore platforms can utilise SlipPure™ Marine to abate methane emissions, helping operators meet sustainability and compliance goals.
