“We are very pleased to support Daphne in their mission to create a more sustainable energy future. Daphne’s technology addresses a significant challenge in the hard-to-abate marine space when it comes to reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Their plug-and-play solution has enormous potential to also help other sectors, and we look forward to supporting them in their journey."

Peter van Giessel, Investment Director, Shell Ventures – 29th Of October 2021.

"Daphne Technology's innovative approach has the potential to become a pivotal technology for the maritime industry. The ability to capture emissions from hydrocarbon maritime fuels and meaningfully reduce emissions in the short-term is a critical component of the industry's transition to net zero emissions, in which multiple fuels and multiple abatement solutions will be required. This investment fits well with our strategy to invest in and develop technologies and business models that will be required for the transition to net zero."

Margaux Moore, Head of Energy Transition Group and Venture Investments at Trafigura - 29th Of October 2021.

"Daphne has developed some of the most mature and economically viable methane reduction technologies in the market. We believe Daphne can play an important role in helping the maritime industry's transition to net zero."

Nicholas Meer, Managing Director, J.P. Morgan Alternative's Global Transportation Group.

"We are excited to be investing in an industry innovator such as Daphne, and are impressed with the unique technology solutions Daphne has developed to significantly abate GHG emissions in both the maritime and broader energy industries."

"AET is very pleased to be one of Daphne Technology's strategic investors and support the development and deployment of technology to transition the maritime sector to net-zero. This investment marks our entry into R&D for GHG abatement technologies aligned with our ongoing decarbonisation initiative and is made alongside other leading like-minded energy players and strategic partners. As a believer in LNG as a longer-term solution in maritime decarbonisation, we have been looking for technologies to reduce the methane slip and improve the "tank to wake" decarbonisation environment. Therefore, aside from being an investor, we will also deploy and test the technology across our vessels which utilise LNG as a fuel source.”

"An investment into Daphne is a novel and deep technology approach to reduce warming and toxic emissions in the shipping sector. Swisscom believes this will substantially lower the transition cost for shipping owners and charterers, indirectly benefiting companies and consumers who might otherwise face higher emissions or higher shipping costs. Res Witschi, delegate for Sustainable Digitization at Swisscom, adds: Swisscom aims to contribute to climate protection by reducing CO2 emissions by 1 million tons until 2025 through intelligent solutions like Daphne's. Daphne can have a substantial impact on lowering Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions with its sophisticated hardware and software and contribute to a more climate-friendly supply chain for Swisscom."

“We consider the roll out of Daphne’s technology as a game changer for the shipping and refining industries given the upcoming stricter IMO regulation on fuel consumption and the knock-on effects of this regulation.”

The Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller Center for Zero Carbon Shipping is a not-for-profit, independent research and development centre aiming for a net-zero maritime industry future. Daphne has contributed to their comprehensive paper about reducing methane emissions from vessels. Our SlipPure system (plasma) is clearly shown to be an essential element to decarbonise the maritime industry and immediately reduce the impact of the LNG-powered fleet.

Daphne has joined the Aiming for Zero Methane Emissions Initiative by OGCI (Oil and Gas Climate Initiative), an initiative to contribute to a worldwide reduction of 30% of methane emissions from all sources by 2030. Reducing methane emissions from oil and gas operations is an opportunity to advance the goals of the Paris Agreement. With our innovative solution, we believe we can make a significant contribution.
